Have ye seen the thing about the Nigerian. Cork City told him if he gets 50,000 retweets then he'll get a trial. He's on 41,000 overnightLOL

Harsh result tonight, if we had someone who could actually finish we could have been two goals up at half time. With Harps drawing tonight, fingers crossed we win next week so this **** of a season can finally be put to an end.

Thought played some decent stuff for about 20/25 minutes in the first half. Second half was just a scrappy game from both sides.

Fun few days in the ever-changing life of Cork City.

Closed their forums earlier in the week.

AGM tomorrow with rumours of big debts.

It's never dull anyway

Ffs i often wonder do some of these people running LOI clubs actually have a clue what they are doing? How many years there have cork been in europe getting big crowds at home games and from the outside things looking pretty good. Now there in debt. Sometimes you would wonder what is the point in this league.

The fans forum was going to be closed before the AGM tomorrow anyway, but that was sped up to yesterday.

Some lad was getting badmouthed on it and sent them* a threatening solicitor letter

* must be said, the forum was always unofficial, and the solicitor letter went to an average joe, not the club.

Yup, the idea of a fan owned club is great, until "being a fan" trumps "having a bit of cop on and business nous" in electing board members. Few of them, while they 100% had the hearts in the right place, were treating the club like a lemonade stall unfortunately.

Cork City have always had a large number of oddballs in their sport, as an oddball myself I could spot them a mile off. When the club died and the phoenix club was formed they were reasonably well run with some very knowledgeable people. As so often happens though, the lunatics began taking over the asylum.
