Had one in my shed a few years back and my friend ran into the shed with a baseball bat and smashed it and ran like fook back into the house. They cleared off then.

It was fairly big alright. He just creeped up smashed it with the bat and ran back to the house and closed the door behind him. The wasps won't catch you if you just hit once and leg it. Leave the shed door open and thet should just move off to a new home.
