Ya. Wouldnt you think with keane been at one of the best clubs in the PL for so long he would be perfect for conducting excellent training sessions. Weird one.

I’d love to know exactly what the training sessions were like. At his best O’ Neil was a brilliant motivator of his teams. Surely, if John Robertson who ran the sessions in those teams wasn’t available Keane was brought in to do the training ? Or was it Delaney’s shout to put the two of them together? Either way, it ended up a clusterf**k.

He also said there was loads of detail at club level and mentioned nothing about Ireland. It was more of what Doherty said without saying as much.
regarding your first point hourihane was very cagey with his response and gave a nothing answer.  the other two points are widely known. We learned nothing new from that interview.

it was a cleverer interview than Dohertys. He came across well. Doherty has done himself serious harm with his interview methinks.

Doherty obviously doesn't have that cute hoorism in his DNA or maybe it's his Dutch background coming to the fore..

You might be on to something. The Dutch are certainly brought up to question things. It's why their football team are famous for falling out with each other.

Admire his honesty.....at least he has a pair.....unlike others (sheep) who will wait until retirement to reveal all in their tabloid serialised book.

The people criticising Doherty are the exact same people who would have been applauding Roy Keane if he did the same as a player and banging on about honesty and standards.

Couldn’t agree more Clap f**kin hypocrisy at its best and usually a personal insult thrown in as well “and he’s a nothing player”

Doherty is right to be annoyed. One of our best performers and he couldn't get a sniff. We should be playing him rw in front of Coleman. Coleman was injured and  he didnt get a chance in f**king friendlies. He's a afforded us a view into the thinking of the 1st team.

Well you weren't listening then. He said obviously they are aware of the main candidates and he has been watching Irish league and knows all about him. In fact I wouldn't call it cagey at all, more the opposite. People are trying to say "who the fook is Kenny" but it's good that they are being spoke about. Maybe the "gamble" won't be as big if he is announced then.

The heat maps show Doherty is playing a more advanced role on the pitch than the wolves midfield. Playing him as a RB would negate his main attribute i.e. his goal/assist threat.

Understat is an excellent resource when it comes to analysing player data. Doherty as we all know is a major threat down the right hand side. The link provides further detail....with a quick comparison with Coleman you'll see Doherty has been a far more dangerous threat so far this season. The two would compliment each other very well on that wing imo.

as opposed to a terrible round peg in a round hole?

can we also all agree that 3 at the back needs to be consigned to the annals of history? england creating far more since they ditched it.

i hear martin oneill contacted doherty to have a rant at him. how very bitter
