Probably when Mick played him there against New Zealand for the second half

manning barely played this year for swansea...have noticed from looking out for his name in their matches that their manager rarely makes subs as well..sometimes doesn't even make one during the whole match, or will make one very late on.. manning has only played 5 games in the league so far

good game for Swansea today, it seems. Hopefully he’ll hit a run of form:

Not his biggest fan, but he can definitely pick a pass when he’s in the mood
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

You're right, Deco. A good signing for Swansea. He was excellent in Villa's promotion year. Unfortunately, being in the mood for Hourihane seems to coincide with him being in the Championship.

The alternative midfielders that are always hyped up here play Championship whilst Hendrick and McCarthy etc are playing PL - If Hendrick was with a Championship team and with few CAPS we'd all be singing his praises.

We'd be better off if he didn't play well between now and the qualifiers as Kenny may feel obliged to play him

Your dead right that’s exactly what we don’t need players playing well.

I cannot understand how anyone wouldn't want any of our players not to be playing well ? Guessing it may have been a stab at humour, so apologies if I've missed that, but it is similar to a lot of negative / daft posts on the forum. There is probably a reason why none of us on here are offered huge sums of money to manage professional teams, though of course we are all entitled to our opinion as fans. Saying that, wouldn't start Conor myself, but would much prefer it if everyone was playing to the maximum of their ability and the manager has as strong a squad as possible. Conor seems to be a really decent guy and works very hard with the talents he has got. I really hope that the loan to Swansea goes well for his sake and ours.

Does anyone know how he played? Everytime I've seen hourihane play its like the team are playing with a man down and then he pops up with a goal.

I’m a surprised he pretty much went straight into their starting XI. Hitting the ground running.

Why?
He hardly went there to be a sub dropping down from the premiership.

After scoring a great goal. Fair play to him could have sat on the Villa bench but the loan spell looks to be doing him the word of good
