Thought he wasn't that good against Denmark tbh.

Doesn't do enough in open play imo to justify a starting place for Ireland but hopefully he'll improve in time for the playoffs in March.

Fantastic free tonight and his first two corners were excellent deliveries. Was pleasantly surprised he started tonight. Clap

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

He does as much as any of what we have available to us and has the ability from a step piece that the rest don’t.
He’s biggest failing for me is a lack of pace

Given his central  position, I wouldn't be overly concerned with his lack of pace but someone like Cullen should definitely be in ahead if Hourihane or Hendrick as a starter imo.

Goal and assist for Hourihane, MOTM to Grealish. Being English really does pay Wink
We're decent enough..

Although he scored and got an assist in the first half I thought his all round play in the second half was much better.

Would have deserved his MOTM if Grealish missed out as they were the stand out players in the game

Ridiculous decision. Sky are Jack Grealish mad.

Hourihane also gave the centre forward an almost unmissable one on one who then somehow missed it.

As said, Mick bringing him off so early last monday night made no sense in a game we had to win. He can get a goal in an instant from a free kick or spectacular shot.

Yet people think he shouldn't be in the XI (Infact some saying he shouldn't be in the squad at all), we need to give him a bit of a free role in midfield and maybe if a dud like hendrick wasn't beside him he'd do better with Ireland

Minnows like Gibraltar and Georgia?
We play plenty of minnows at International level and we should be performing better against them with the squad we have, CH included.

Exactly, 2 out of 7 goal contributions.
So 5/7 was against PL opposition.

Not to mention, Crewe (3rd in League 2) are a better side than Gibraltar and could give Georgia a good run-out too.

How are you coming to the conclusion that Crewe are better than Gibraltar?

Crewe once won the Johnstone's paint trophy.

TWell, Crewe are fully professional and play in a professional league. Most of their players play in their semi-professional league, with the odd on in the English non-leagues and Spanish lower leagues.

The fact you are asking this question shows a lack of knowledge.
The salaries of their players is a good place to start (approx £1000 a week)
Gibraltar players are mostly part-time.
The biggest club Gibraltans are playing for is Lincoln Red Imps, in their own national league, which is considerably lower than the English League 2.

So you knew the answer but decided it was better to stir the pot!!!
He still has more goals this season than anyone in our squad.
