Surely Waterford FC officals would knw if were actually able to play in Europe and would not be going on social media saying were in Europe etc ???

It would be heartbreaking if were actually not allowed in it and 5th place in this year's league will instead. Didn't the Derry city manager come out and say Waterford won't be allowed play in Europe next season ?

UEFA are the organisers (EUFA when Waterford United last competed in their club tournaments).
In League of Ireland European club history, the club results, entries and number of entries are forgotten very quickly afterward (starting approx 3 weeks after date of game).  It's unfair to expect Waterford FC Officials to know the decisions of UEFA.

Cork City FC's 'new entity' was never tested by UEFA.  Derry City's new entity was and they failed twice. First instance and then they asked the local NA the FAI to go back and ask again in appeal.  The FAI represented Derry City at UEFA.

A Very, Very Derry Statement.
"The re-formed club, with support from the FAI, asked for the rule to be relaxed but Uefa refused to relent."
""We paid a lot of football debts that were nothing to do with us, but from the previous club but apparently we're not going to be accepted."
""The amount of money we have spent taking care of previous responsibilities, I would have thought would have been enough to basically bend the rules."
Peter O'Doherty Derry City FC chair.  That's who these people are, that's how they think.
When community-focused DCFC refuse €5 grand from the FAI it's because DCFC don't remember their own short history.

threw a few pound myself on Limerick at 8/1 today when they were 18/1 yesterday. into 11/2 now. 

not the first time this has happened at WFC either. only thing is if Limerick go right in to say 2/1 then waterford will be worth a serious bet if it turns out to be Bullsh*t

vast majority of the 150k on the Exchange is on Waterford, press blowing it all out of proportion IMO, can see them going off around 1.2 when the big Exchange players get involved
