With Kilbanes days nearly numbered and all the right backs tried there not really proving a success what are we going to do abouth this problem position?

I see Derek Geary had a decent game for Sheff Utd against Man City in the cup and Marcus Painter is playing well consistently for Swansea who are top of their division, albeit a low division.

Who is playing left back for the under 21s - the lad from Blackburn?

We would all argue over team selection but at least in other positions we have options this one needs to be addressed by the new coach as a priority.
The seeds of doubt that were sown at the weekend against Egypt have been doused by a dose of Jack Charlton's almighty weedkiller.

No He,s english,Dont think he can play for us and dont think he wants to either.

I still feel Kilbane has a qualifying campaign left in him but only if he is used in the left back position, would still need to do a bit of work there though on his game as i didnt think he looked 100% comfortable when he played there against the Germans.

Geary and O'Halloran should be given a run in upcoming friendlys to see what they can offer also O'Dea has done a job for Celtic in that position this year and is worth a look at,
