October Sky

A saturday afternoon film. Stand by me vibes.

Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a high school student in 1950s middle america living in a mining town where nothing but coal is important. With the Sputnik launch and seeing it orbit the earth he becomes obsessed with rocket building and space. Nice movie this. The Sherminator in it too Cool

Memento

Still coming to terms with this one. Not sure if I liked it or found it meh. It’s highly rated. IMDb has it at 8,4/10 which is top 50 movies stuff.

Guy Pearse leads with the always excellent Joe Pasciliano in support. This is a bit of a mind bender and flip flops between recent past, present and back again. Interesting and original movie concept. Low budget, independent type.

I think I enjoyed it Embarrassed

Halloween 7/10

40 years on Michael escapes and Jamie Lee Curtis has been preparing for it with a crazed end of world house set up with more guns than a Republican senator.

Absolute sh*te and unbelievable story line. Don't know why I enjoyed it LOL

Well he is the boogeyman, so he is kinda super natural.

One of the most dangerous serial killers escapes, kills 5 people in the gas station. Heads to the town he came from the following day, let's send in 5 cops, they'll deal with it lads nothing to worry about.

John Wick 4
if you've seen the other 3 you know what to expect.

John is going around the world now to get out of the killing game so he can just retire, and he must defeat the head of the 'table' of people who hold the power.
Great fight scenes and always ridiculous, but loved it.

One of the best scenes was in a nightclub having a fight with water gushing down on him.
Made me think of other great nightclub scenes in films.
Think in John Wick 2 there was another good rave scene set in Rome, and there was the original Blade.
Any others?

Operation Blade by Public Domain the name of the tune in Blade.

Agree with Horsebox, Rise of the footsoldier is quality, especially the first one.
