Dilemma now regarding 'The Irishman'

Go see it in cinema or watch it on Netflix?

Hardly a special effects must. Wouldnt be rushing out to see it, especially at 3.5 hours long.

It's not three and a half hours long is it?!

Definitely not a film I'd want to see in the cinema.

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Yeah you would want comfy VIP seats to sit in cinema that long And even at that not having time to have a piss break is tough going. Will wait for Netflix

The whole cinema release is a bit laughable anyway. You'd have to be a real buff or at least fond of the cinema to go see it considering it's a racket. The only reason it got a cinema release is because they want the oscar recognition. Hope the film delivers. IMDB stands at 8.6/10 currently which is impressive.

Might be a post more suited to the unpopular opinion thread but I think the trailer looks sh*te and De Niro doesn't seem to be that convincing as an Irish-American hitman.

I love gangster films but wouldn't go out of my way to see it tbh.

Liam Neeson must be a terrible father or the unluckiest father ever.  I see Taken 3 is on RTE now.  I presume this got an Oscar for the script?

Dr. Sleep - 2/10

Avoid like the plague. Everything you need to know is in the title of the film. Follow up to 'The Shining' about Danny Torrance as an adult. Not really sure what they were going for here but it didn't work on any level. The first two hours were spent on a weird, slow-burner of a story that was tediously boring - and the final half hour felt like it was set in a tacky 'The Shining' theme park.

Watched "All The Way" at the weekend. Story about LBJ's presidency & his dealings with Martin Luther King/Civil Rights Act. Brian Cranston plays the lead, he's absolutely brilliant. Don't know how historically accurate the film is but really enjoyed it. Cranston makes it

Meet Joe Black - 7.5/10

Never caught this before. Easy watching on Netflix. Pitt and Hopkins are excellent and whilst there are absolute glaring, in yer face plot holes (TJ would have a field day) it is an enjoyable watch.
