No he couldn't, Chelsea wouldn't sell him to a rival..I think Duff will do well under Keegan. Kevin will encourage him to attack and hopefully tell him not to bother defending...oh to bring back the Duff of old

A tad harsh JS, sometimes players are just very unfortunate with injuries and believe me, i'm sure duffer is 100 times more frustrated at being injury prone than the fans

I have to agree with you there justice spot on , he took the handy move when he could have gone to Liverpool at the time!!!
Shay is a legend and deserves much more than what he has been faced with up there, but the same could be said for him he could have moved to a bigger club in the last few years but decided to stay, no chance of them winning any silverware, not even League Cup over next few Years
Liverpool F.C go deo..

I feel sorry for Shay Given as Honey Monster says he defo deserves to win something in his career...no sympathy for Duff....Not only is the chap a walking A&E department.. he left Chelsea cause he didn't have the balls to stay and fight for a place unlike Shaun Wright Phillips who stayed and is now a regular..gets what he deserves at Newcastle in my opinion

Option number 3 is Asprilla and Ginola dream team.
A newcastle paper tracked Asprilla down to his Columbian FARM to ask him about what he thought of Kev's comeback - those Geordies are fookin nuts!!!

when keegan fails (sorry kev), and they go for shearer and they crash and burn (shearerAngry) then theres only two options left......

1. Its going to be the angel of the north sitting in the dugout calling the shots with Jimmy Nail and Spuggy as his number 2's
2. and then if all else fails with these.....If its a few years down the line, it could be Ant and Dec doing a 'weekend at Bernies' with Bobby Robson!!!

If/when Shearer does join the ranks and if/when it does go sh1ts up - where the fook do they go from there? they'll be absolutely fooked.
I've said it before, i hope it does work but mainly for Shay's and Damo's sake

There is a lad from Sunderland in work who moved to Newcastle when about 4, years of abuse from Newcastle fans: He is just as delighted with Keegans appointment as any Newcy fan and hopes Shearer joins too..jsut to see the dream team fail miserably

I'd just love to see him win a trophy with Newcastle. The main reason being that if anyone deserves a medal; Shay deserves one

I can see Keegan just taking over till the end of the season without letting the fans know..but then they will have a few good results so he stays before it all goes pear shaped.

Great for Ireland as Keegan loves his wingers, hopefully it will rekindle the old Duff...and well Shay get used to picking the ball out of the net regularly..oh but you already are
