No Argies in the 82 squad.

I had asked how many there was but that appears to have gone un noticed so just forget that one I suppose.

There is 23 in total.

Here is a clue for where the rest represented England, Spain, Argentina and Brazil are the only countries to have won with every member of the squad born in the respective countries

I am pretty sure the German side in 1990 was all born in Germany, unless there was a player  born in the GDR.

Yes but they had the likes of Klose born in Poland for example in another World Cup win

1966- All the squad were born in England
1978 and 1986- all of Argentina squad were born in Argentina
1958,1962,1970,1994,2002- All members were born in Brazil
2010 Spain squad again all born in Spain

Just to point out you are correct that all of the 1990 German Side were born in Germany

All correct the last one in 1954 is a bit of a tricky one and maybe one which is up for debate

Richard Hermann was born in Katowice which in Poland but had been part of the Prussian Empire up until 1921 two years before Hermann's birth.

"Which President of Ireland scored a penalty at Turners Cross?" The answer is Éamon de Valera (1882–1975) who in his early years played rugby for Rockwell. The penalty in question was during a Rockwell vs Cork Constitution rugby match in the Munster Cup.)

Yep, Amokachi.
There was a 'history of the Champions League' program on the other day and I learned that.
Maybe it was common knowledge when he moved to Everton.

Amokachi was signed off the back of that "woof!" goal he scored against Greece in the World Cup

Funnily enough the other goal in that game was scored by Finidi George who did a dog peeing celebration

Bruges were in that group with Rangers in 92/93

I recall them losing out to Rangers at Ibrox the winner was one of the jammiest and strangest goals I've ever seen, scored by Scott Nisbet - it was like Wim Kieft on steroids

Amokachi did the square root of fook all at Everton bar when he went postal and obliterated Klinsmann's Tottenham team in the FA Cup semi-final at Elland Road
