Topic: Duff and Keane Posted: 08 Feb 2007 at 5:48am |
Does anyone agree that these two lads careers both domestic and international finished about 2 years ago.Last night was the first time i saw Duff take on a player in ages and thats because his marker was so bad.Out with him and Keane.

They're probably not the big superstars of the premiership they were 2 - 3 years ago but they're still 2 of our best players......
Doesn't say much for us but stick by them they're the best of a bad bunch....

best of a bad bunch!....duff has turned into the old Kilbane in the last two years and Kilbane has turned into what Duff used to be! Kilbane and Given are our only consistent players over the last few years. As for Keane, hes played 1 good game in the last 2 years and that was against Brian O Driscoll and Sonia O sullivan in a kick-about for the lucozade sport ad!

O'shea - 6"3 and can't head - get bent
Ian Harte - When will a manager see that he is anne robinson
Duff - future on the special olympics team
Keane - I've seen subutio players with more drive, skill and balls
Stan - Fubbin backstard - has'nt got a scooby doo !

It summed up Robbie keanes last few years at the end of the match.
he ran towards the ireland fans with a clenched fist, delighted that the country he is captain of had just snatched victory against San Marino.
God imagine Roy Keane doing this, or Mick McCarthy or any f***ing player.
He should have hangedhis head in shame and had a good think about what had just gone on on the pitch instead opf this show of strength or whatever the fuxk it was meant to be

its just cause they walk into the team without question! If there was a chance of players like long, stokes, dixon...even connolly having a chance of getting the nod it might wake him up. Ever one of them should have to have some competition and not just stroll in to their place. Same with duffer, i know hes just back from injury, but he hasnt performed in the last 2 years for the side. If andy reid got fit and mcgeady got more games it gives us another option

Keane was never as great as people make out, internationally yea he's scored a bang load, league wise he has never been much, second string striker everywhere he goes and thats the best he'll ever be.
Duffer didn't enough game time with chelski and since moving he's been injured more than he's played. If he can get over his injury problems and start playing regular ball maybe we can start seeing him back at his best

Keane has scored most of his goals against poor opposition. Only goal that stands out is germany! Whats his goal per game ratio internationally?

Duff has looked a shell of his old self for the last 2 seasons his
confidence seems totally shot he no longer goes at defenders especially
for ireland where it looks like he is never sure of his role. As for
Keane he is just plain azy and dissintrested, since 2002 where he
scored many crucial goals for Ireland(Spain , Germany , Saudi Arabia ,
Iran) he hasnt scored in a big match however at least he does score
against the so called minos because if he didnt i cant really see
who would

very frustrating watching both of them. Theres just no consistency any more with either of them. Robbie might play 1 good match in 4 now (and that 1 could be against teams like San Mairno). If only he knew which one it was gonna be and let Stan know before the game!
As for Duff, even bigger disappointment there as he was our very own Zidane/Ronaldo world class superstar? Nows its Zinedine Kilbane who keeps us interested on the pitch!
