It is the importance of the debut album though. It was probably the most important since The Clash or The Sex Pistols. It changed things. The first minute of 'Adored' shaped the next decade.

Also, the production is f**king unreal. It is proper music. Nobody has listened to this and said 'it's ok'. I'm on 'She Bangs the Drums'  and would fight Cambridge.
It's just The Byrds with attitude, but what attitude!

I agree, but like yourself I tend to find I'm very much in the minority on that one.

Standing here.

I'm far from being a music fan but love the Stone Roses.

He wouldn't set me free,
So he kept me soul for ransom.

Remember it coming out and fanning playing the whole album on his show and we all listened in, one of the lads garages playing pool and a few herbal cigarettes.  Not as original album but underrated there is no doubt.

Love this version of Concierto De d'Aranjuez from the second best British film of all time.

Danny's anti-Thatcher speech at the end of Brassed Off had me in tears Cry Postlewaithe's greatest role.

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Brassed Off is more poignant but Trainspotting is the best British film ever made for the impact/soundtrack/casting/direction/cinematography/dialogue and so on and so on. It's flawless.

I've never watched shallow grave properly but it gets a lot of recognition and came out a few years before Trainspotting. Must watch it at some stage.

Top 3 British films:

1. Trainspotting  - The best and has everything you'd want in a film.
2. Withnail & I    - Most replay ability & probably the most fun.
3. Brassed Off    - Most poignant.

Enough is Enough is a decent tune. Hadn't heard that before. Thumbs Up
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.
