They are a parody of themselves at this stage, to the point where I have nearly forgotten how good they were.

Aye I agree

I loved their first 3 albums (albeit the Green album had some drivel on it)

It was a great song, but I think this was his what he is most remembered for!

I always though that he looked the love child of Bruce Springsteen and Bruce Forsyth.

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

There's a decent band from Dublin called Fontaines DC. Too Real is probably the best track I've heard from them.

They are more than decent, they are the best band I have heard in a while. Their lyrics are wonderfully funny, 'Chequeless Reckless' in particular. There is obviously a Mark E. Smith influence, there should always be a MES influence, which sees him hamming the accent up to get a similar drawl over the brutal drumbeat and it really works. Best Irish band in years and comparable with Idles over here and Bodega in New York.

If you're into a more punky/ grungey high tempo sort of sound, then the Vulpynes are worth a listen too. A bit like L7. The dark haired one is sexy in that "she may ritually murder you while you sleep" kind of way.

Stumbled upon on Aussie playlist in Spotify

Gang of Youths
The DMAs
Dope Lemon

All very different but decent. I feel dirty actually enjoying anything that came out of that convict addled cesspit
