Oasis and the pogues were my 2 favourite bands growing up.
First saw the pogues live in the late 90s, and just loved going to see them, and Shane and the popes regularly afterwards (he'd some good songs with the popes too). An absolute legend and one of the most talented song writers ever

I just assumed Dirty Old Town was written about Dublin but no, written about Salford and also written by Kirstie MacColl’s aul boy Ewan

Gutted I missed them on Saturday night, but my plans changed.
I saw them in London about 6 years ago or so and they were superb (plus I got 6 free tickets so that made it even better).

Just back now. Last time I seen them was The Point in 2006.
Can't believe how good he was. back to the old Shane. Really unbelievable. Best gig I've been at in a long time. Crowd were great, really up for it. Also saw Ricky Hatton stumblin out of the teample bar pub absolutely twisted. |

Last year in RDS was brilliant. Shane sounded like the old Shane again. Pogues always put on a great show though, regardless of the state of Shane
