Yeah didn't look it to me either but he was getting fairly ripped apart in the second half. Positioning was very poor at times and was too far forward a lot of the time and not really anticipating a transition. I still think oddly we were the better team and there is a couple of decent players in that team.

I do think a lot of our underage teams have been defending poorly recently. maybe just me.

Didn’t look a foul for the winning goal to me. Should have scored from the move that led to us hitting the bar

3-2 Serbia. Can't really believe we lost this. Our right back was very poor though

Yeah hes even back playing at Evergreen now after he was released by Pats last year.

Griffen and Miele had decent careers in the LOI too.

Id forgotten Miele was given a 2 year doping ban.

Worked as a toaster for a bit too.

Darragh Lenihan the only one named in those squads to win any senior caps. Ian Lawlor and Kieran Sadlier have been named in senior squads but never capped.

Lenihan's two senior caps a pretty poor return for that group. Those 1993 and 1994 groups must be among the weakest we have ever produced - those lads are 28/29 now and should be the backbone of the senior team but nobody came through.

Stan Ashbee called up. The son of Hull legend Ian Ashbee. I presume the Irish connection is on the mother's side.
