My early haunts were Madigans in North Earl Street and The Elbow Inn at the corner of Mary and Liffey Street.

I think my last time in Madigans I was carried out by work colleagues and deposited at front door.

Parents less than impressed. The lad who cycled my bike back to Cabra also unimpressed as he had no idea where he was going (he went via Glasnevin & Finglas).

Looking forward to seeing what they've done with it. That stretch with Briodys, Confession Box and previously the Sackville is the finest stretch of pubs in the city for me.

That's possibly the greatest name for a pub I've ever heard.

All done this evening - all packed, happy faces, great to see. Guinness went from €5.80 to £5.60 to £5.50...Confession Box is right beside the Pro Cathedral....hence its name. Work on going in FT, looks like there going old Dub pub moving away from the link with the Abbey
...plenty of old photos of GAA teams similar to those in Briodys....

Brian stynes bought (or is part owner ) of the flowing tide so plenty of Gaa will be on show I’d imagine.

Used to start at Lanigans and work our way up. Some fantastic spots along it, Confession Box and Brannigans were 2 of my favorites. Havent been over that way for a pint since the Luas works got underway.

Temple Bar are bringing in financing to allow their customers to buy drink.  You can now pay in affordable monthly installments.

Its only as good as any other pint around.  Totally overrated.

Last time I was there the pint was very average. Big let down

I am lucky to work on Talbot Street. Confession Box is superb in every way.
Add Cleary's on Amien Street to this area and Molloy's and the Celt on Talbot Street.
Great boozers
