We're not opting to vote ourselves out of Europe..something that everyone seems to think a no vote means.

Were voting on a treaty.

yes for ireland
yes for our partnership with europe which has brought is historic prosperity (while things have gone pear shaped we are far better off now till)

I for one will not let my anger at the government and hate for all things FF cloud my judgement on what is our only strategic hope for furture prosperity and partnership.

That does not and will not mean a military alliance, but economic and social cohesion. every good change to irish society since our great catholic nazi leader dev has come about due to eu membership.

i read this comment which sums it up

*NO SIDE: Shinners, Ganley, Socialists, Coir, Eirigi, UKIP, Le Pen, BNP.

*YES SIDE: all international chambers of commerce, most independent economists, 3 main political parties, IFA, IBEC, IDA, ISME, SIPTU, ICTU, most major trade unions, Small Firms Association, Pfizer, Ryanair, Intel, Microsoft.

Who you going to trust?

a shinners representative knocked at my missus' house and his main point was as follows (no joke this)

'sure them lads from FF and FG are getting paid to go around canvassing a yes vote, thats the only reason why they're around'

Confused

and he also says

'do u want tony blair to be your next president?' (obviously referring to the president of the european council being elected instead of each country having a 6 month presidency)

what a clown

as has been mentioned earlier - FF are one organisations out of hundreds who are backing the treaty.

care to explain why its a bad deal? lisbon 1 was a bad deal. the fact we keep a commisioner and retain sovereignty over taxation, neutrality and social issues is key here.

our place is in europe, in for a penny in for a pound
