Was never gonna out run them and believe police held back as OJ was in the back seat with a gun threatening to kill himself. No point putting the foot down and doing 100mphs in that situation.

Was he not driving??

Fascinating time to be alive in the mid-nineties. LA Riots, Rodney King, OJ, Kurt Cobain's suicide, Tupac and Biggie murders, Louise Woodward trial, OJ trial, last era of vital music, Last era of consistently good movies being produced, De Niro on fire, Tyson/Holyfield/Lewis/Benn/Bruno, James Richardson on Football Italia, Seinfeld, Frasier, Songs and series finales becoming cultural events (Time of Your Life/Seinfeld).

Great doc.

It’s a brilliant documentary.

There’s another 5 part docuseries called OJ: Made in America that’s a great watch. Examines his upbringing against the backdrop of huge racial tension in the US and how it shaped his public persona as he became a household name.

I was in the States when that car chase happened, had only landed that afternoon after boozing all the way over and had dozed off in the hotel room after a few in the bar when we got there. Woke up with the TV on and it was literally on every station you could put on. Even the NBA final that was on the same time had the chase in a little box in the corner of the screen. Was bizarre watching it.
