I loved Dressed to Kill so I fancied another Brian De Palma eighties noir thriller. And like the former, it has an excellent score, nudity, sleaze, mystery, and even a hypnotising lengthy stakeout scene with limited/no dialogue reminiscent of the art museum scene in Dressed to Kill. The likeable Craig Wasson stars as a vulnerable struggling actor with a severe case of claustrophobia, which is central to several recurring scenes and a memorable chase scene. Kicked out of his girlfriend's house after she cheats on him, by chance he runs into great character actor Gregg Henry's character, a fellow actor, who takes pity on him and allows him to housesit at his ultramodern house while he's away on business (fun fact: same house Troy McClure's wan was modelled on in The Simpsons). Before he leaves on business Henry makes a point of showing Wasson a telescope he uses to spy on a sexy neighbour. While voyeuristically watching the neighbour one night, Wasson watches her get murdered...from here, the mystery only deepens.

The Batman - absolute sh*te, no real flow to the movie at all, same 2 pieces of music used the whole way through which gets very annoying, Colin Farrell is excellent in it though and completely unrecognisable, Paul Dano is very good in it too. 3/10

Aftersun. A young woman thinks back on a childhood holiday with her father. It's partially told through video footage of their trip which works very well. The two leads are excellent and the dynamic between father and daughter is completely natural. It's a genuinely sad film with some very memorable moments that will stick with you (at least they have with me). 7.5/10 from me.

Banshees of Inisherin with 9 nominations, some achievement. But An Cailín Ciúin with a nomination is brililant stuff, it's a fantastic film as well I'm delighted

Youse probably all remember him from going viral when he smashed some crazy dude in the head with a hatchet saving some woman from getting hurt as per the vid below. Turns out he was a little crazy himself and after riding the wave of fame for all of 3 months finally lost it. This looks back over them 3 months from this video until the crime he commits himself. Under an hour and a half and defo worth a watch..

Bullet train 

just watched Philomena with Judi Dench and Steve Coogan.  Would make you cry and angry at the same time.  The mother and baby homes were really centres of evil.  Can’t imagine what it must have been like for a mother or a child that was in them and the repercussions for the rest of their life.
