Parasite

A lot of talk about this as a great film. I didn't hear any reviews beforehand.
South Korean film that's also up for best picture at the oscars.
It was ok but not amazing but still worth a watch, 2 different films in one really.

6 Underground
God this was sh*te. I meant to say how bad this was over the Christmas when I watched it, and I forget the synopsis of it it was that bad. Michael Bay taking the piss out of a Michael Bay film.

Your Michael Bay comment on the other movie is spot on.

Knew nothing of this film and watched it on Friday (Always good to watch a film with no preconceptions or plot lines). Excellent film, maybe not Best Film at the Oscars standard

It would damage this forums' reputation

So not as good as ‘Titanic’ or ‘The English Patient’ then?

Watched Gregory's Girl last night a film about a hopeless young footballer who fell in love with a girl off his team in early 1980's Scotland.

Really enjoyable, harmless and innocent film but well worth the watch.

Anyone ever see it? I googled the reviews and what not and found out it brought in over £25m after being done on a shoestring budget so it was obviously well known.

Yeah, a kind of cult classic really. It made Forsyth a fortune and made Clare Grogan better known than Altered Images were going to make her.

One of my favourite films. Big smile

It was filmed during a hot summer in the "new town" (hence the weird looking houses you see) of Cumbernauld when many of it's buildings were relatively new and people were moving there from Glasgow full of optimism - which did not last long !

The late Chic Murray (a very popular comedian in Scotland back in the day) was perfect as the eccentric headmaster.

And the lost guy inside a penguin suit randomly walking around the school with no explanation ever given LOL

If you liked Gregory's Girl then try and seek out "That Sinking Feeling" and "Comfort and Joy" which are also by Bill Forsyth. Two great wee films. You may have already seen "Local Hero".

Image result for birds of prey

Harley Quinn has split up from the joker and she's going her own way.
Slightly stylized in parts, like an Edgar Wright film but not as good. And maybe comparing a male and female director is the point the director is trying to make. I found it a bit preachy. Strong women living in a mans world and they don't need men to survive. Not only that but it just wasn't very good.
Ewan McGregor was enjoyable though, he was ramping up the campness to full Nicolas Cage level.

For a war movie which features zero battles, it's very good. The tension and camera work in it are excellent.

Enjoyed this movie.
Not as good as Saving private Ryan tho.

Skynet never happened but Legion is the new Skynet.

Good special effects but you have seen it all before.
Overall is was okay but nothing you haven’t seen before.
