Went to The Lighthouse Cinema last night to watch "It's a Wonderful Life". Had never seen it Shocked

Cinema was packed with all ages.

Great film and deadly that they have Christmas classics running in December.

Caught the 10am showing of The Last Jedi here on the continent. Explodes into life, sags in the middle a bit but there's a grand finale. I enjoyed it but they could've given Luke a bit more to do, though Hamill is terrific. There's plenty of laughs, a few shocks I didn't see coming and a nice little cameo that had the place cheering. 8.5/10 for me.

As a star wars nerd I was looking forward to last Jedi...

I'll try to be as spoiler free as I can.

Force awakens got nicknamed a familiar hope this should be called Return of the empire as it takes the good parts of both Empire (ending battle taking place on a white salt landscape with walkers) and return of the Jedi the throne room scene and build up were exactly the same.

Throw in Luke being Rey's Yoda during skellig scenes again Empire and add in some cringe worthy puns and jokes.

To sum up this is the biggest disappointment of the entire franchise I'd actually rate attack of the clones ahead of it

1/10
I'm being generous with 1 visually it was good but overall terrible

Probably being over critical and a second viewing would change my mind

How the fcuk does Will Ferrell make a living.

Went to see it with the missus on Monday night, we both really enjoyed it. Its stupid and dumb but if you go to see it expecting anything else then you may choose something else. Plus Will Ferrells wife in it gets me hot and bothered Big smile
Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

I usually find RottenTomatoes gives a fairly good indication of the standard of a film. 94% from near 200 reviews, so I think you might be overly critical with your 1/10 LOL

I watch Brawl on Cellblock 99 over the weekend with Vince Vaughn. The scenes at the end were a tough watch, f**king horrendous violence Dead
Decent enough film. Production value on it wasn't great. 3/5

Last Jedi.

As a big fan of Star Wars I was a bit underwhelmed by this and thought the Force awakens was better.
I think they fell for 'lets make it bigger and better'. Seemed to be a bit more CGI which reminded me of AOTC and it might be the same part that lagged for Blanc, but the whole part on the planet of Canto Bight was a bit of a bore.
I will have to see it a second time to make a proper judgement.
The dark side.. And the light

Seen Star Wars on Friday Night, it wasn't great but it wasn't awful either. Too many attempts for laughs I think, will need a second viewing.

Yep would be pretty much same movie without it as someone said toe today was like they didn't have anything for Finn to do storywise so added this to make him seem useful.

I thought it was a complete mess. Dialogue, story, direction. At no point did it pull me in and care for it and that's because the film doesn't allow you to. It was just a series of things happening. A rehashing of many themes and scenes from 'Empire' also. I just didn't (couldn't) care for it and then some bits just frankly annoyed the bollocks out of me. I came way feeling that it was about half an hour too long and then I got angry when I realised that that half hour was largely made up of irrelevant bollocks. Like who the f**k wants to see a scene with Luke milking some sea cow yoke on the rocks? And those flappy birds and the nurses on Skellig Michael?? Nah, this one's getting filed away behind the dusty door in my psyche marked 'The Prequels'.

Have to agree.
I’m a big fan (even the prequels I liked) but this just did nothing.
The action sequences weren’t great, the odd light sabre fight was poor.
The long long bit with you know who on the you know what went no where.
Thought Kylo Ren was by far the best.
And the very ending, did that person die or not?
Force Awakens and Rogue One much much better.
Hope this Rian Johnson is kept away from directing producing writing any more of these.
