Just watched this doc on bt never been biggest fan of Owen Hargreaves punditry but thought he was great in this having been through the academy he knew what the club was about.

Also goes to show how great a club Bayern is, the term family was mentioned several times and it seems very true they tat care of their own, one story which comes to mind is Gerd Muller who after finishing playing became an alcoholic, Bayern hierarchy seen this gave him a job with youth setup and supported him through his fight to get sober.

This isnt mentioned in doc but Rummeneiger (or however you spell his name) does say we like to help out former players so can only imagine he was talking about Muller.

There was also a lot about how players in current team such as Lahm,Schweinsteiger,Neuer even Robben would have a role in the running of the club in years to come.

If you haven't seen it would suggest to give it a watch.

Bayern Munich have helped a lot of players after there active careers ended. Be it fighting depression, alcohol or bankruptcy. Thats one thing that you can say about Honeß....he always looked after his staff past and present.

Similar things happening at Dortmund, Bremen etc.

Remember them looking after alan mc inally after he got his knee injury that ended his career, think he had a year or two left on his Bayern contract and they continued to pay him even though the club knew he would never play for them again(I think it actually came from mc inally not having any personal injury insurance)...nice touch though

I watched it last night and have to say it was a brilliant documentary. Really impressed with Bayern's attitude to football, their staff and fans.

Keep an eye out for it again as no doubt BT will be showing it on loop for a few weeks.

Can't find a Bayern topic..

Di Maria is reported to be well into negotiations with Bayern.

Could be a super move for us, he's struggled in England. Sadly Ribery and Robben aren't getting any younger...

As much as i wish Klopp was our new major signing this summer, Di Maria could be well suited to the Bundesliga  Clap

Yes all my life LOL. I've a grandfather from Bavaria 17km from Munich picked it up from him for my first birthday my folks told me i was given a Bayern jersey so I've knew no different, i'm  fluent in german also. Season ticket holder now for a few years, most people find it strange an Irish man supporting Bayern Munich all his life! I use to get some weird looks wearing Kahn and Hargreaves jerseys while everyone had Liverpool etc going through school.

Yeah i was reading that earlier, i can't understand that one personally. Great midfielder, defiantly will add something but we'd really no need for him. Basti, Martinez, Thiago,Rode. Gotze. Lahm, Alonso.

Baffles me to why Dortmund continue to let their best players join us it ruins the league if nothing else. It's only a matter of time before Hummels returns to Bayern! great for us, because Benatia is a disaster.

De Bryune will no doubt be on Peps hit list also,

they probably couldn't get their head around the fact that you had a logical reason for following them! Would love to see ADM make the move. Hopefully Man United get Gareth Bale then.

I'd love to see it to PM! Can't see United taking the 45mil Bayern are prepared to offer sadly.

If we don't get ADM i'll happily take De Bruyne! Recently stating he's 'no love' for Wolfsburg Clap as usual, we'll go and buy the best player from our 'challengers'

I just like Di Maria and have little or no love for Man United, so would like to see them get Bale instead!
Think Di Maria is a top player
