That was against Leeds when Michael bridges scored a hat trick although it wasnt the old style Dell stanchions though. It was "the loop" style with a really tight net

Some of the stanchioning in those photos was around for decades before their removal to the bland modern versions.
The Wembly was there fom the early 60's at the latest to 1996. The Chelsea was there for 30 odd years aswell I think. The Highbury was there for donkeys aswell. They are probably in the Stanchion Museum now |

The old Portman Road stanchion was very unique. It had the loop and bars at the back to hold it up. I would dare say the best goal stanchion in English football at the time
