Lads I'm thinking of taking out my open fire and putting in one of them stoves, I see you can get pellet burning stoves now does anyone know anything about these, they are quite a bit more expensive so just wondering if it makes sense to get this instead of normal duel burning stove. Ta

Can anyone recommend someone that does attic windows? The velux window type.
Have one already in but it's years old and the frame it rotting so the window is leaking.
Some came and had a look with their drone and quoted us over €3k for just one window that's about 15' x 30'. Should have know it was expensive when they took out a drone camera.

Also anyone that does garden sheds.
Have a concrete one from the previous owner but it's years old and roof is leaking and door and window frame are also rotting.
Better to do this up or get rid and get a metal shed/ one of those cabin things?

Concrete built is better built!! get 2nd hand PVC windows and doors to replace what is there. Don't know what type of roof is on it but fixing what is there should be the best option. Cabins aren't cheap and that's without the site clearance of what you already have.

Jesus don't go knocking that down. Colemank works in construction he said the prices of materials was dropping again. If you aren't in a rush on the shed I'd wait till later in the year see if prices come down again. With China fully reopening that should help on prices too.

Another thing is if you got it fixed up, in two years you might be thinking ah sh*te should have gotten it made a little bigger as you could find another use for it. Depends on how big your garden is really.

It would damage this forums' reputation

The shed is attached to the walls of our side neighbour and rear neighbour and both have creeper trees that are breaking through the cement in the brick and also growing under the roof. I take it there should have been a gap between the walls when being built instead of being attached directly.

Not necessarily.

With a small spend you could have place looking really nice for something or knocking that down or having to rebuild it again could be extremely expensive.

I also have to sort out me shed, needs a new flat roof or at the least a patch up and all new felt.

Anyone know anyone? Will obviously be leaving it to Spring / Summer when the weathers a bit better.

Was quoted something mad like €3k last time, its only a fookin shed we keep the garden tools and furniture in like LOL

My Mam got it done late last year, was covered by grants. Makes a massive difference to the house but wouldn’t recommend the company.
Nordie crowd had the contract and subbed it out to Polish lads based in Westmeath. Took 5 months to be completed instead of 5 weeks
