No problem here HH. juice is losing the rag for some reason and is resorting to personal abuse. Uncalled for as its only a thread about cycling.

Some morning for a cycle today Clap

I got a new bike and the saddle was real low. BF noticed and said he would higher it as it was making it harder for me. He hired it and it knocked loads of time off my journey Clap Never knew it would make such a difference.

Also I signed up for this 5km run thing. I havent done any training but I assume I should be alright because I am cycling a lot?

Fair play to him. Ye 5km should be alright, you'd have a decent level of aerobic fitness built up from cycling so I'd do a few practice runs just so you know what it's actually like to run 5km and not just jumping in at the deep end on the day.

I'm doing a 5k race tomorrow and havent trained since my last race in February I'm hopeful enough that I'll be alright.

If you've been cycling a fair bit you'll be fine

No but you would want to check out the hills I have to cycle up every day - First few days of doing it I had to walk up but now I can get up without stopping. They are killer. There is one at the start of my cycle going into work and then one coming home that is so hard esp at the end of a 10km cycle. Good for the aul fitness tho!

Off cycling topic but while 5Ks being mentioned. I do the Ardgillan 5K Parkrun saturday mornings. If you want a challenging run do this. The last 2.5K or so is all up a massive hill.
