What’s wrong with that.  It allows both sets of away fans plenty of time to get down and up for the game.  It’s effectively the classic time for a game of ball to be played. I.e 3pm on a sat or a Sunday.

In other countries maybe but not here. In the South anyway!! If your going to the game its ok but for any neutral interest at that time will be mimimal for tv. We want to expose these big games. One on a Friday night and the 2nd on a Sat night IMO. 2.40 on a Sat/Sun screams RTE couldn't really give 2 sh*tes.

Pretty tricky for someone in Dublin who works in Dublin to make a 7.45 game in Galway on a Friday evening and the same for St Pats in Cork.  This is a cup semi final after all.

The supporters are being prioritised here.

What is wrong with 2.40pm on a Sat and Sunday afternoon.  Most people are off work and it’s a time slot that is used for Rugby six nations matches GAA matches loads of times and for football all over the world.

What is to stop anyone who is interested from tuning in and it caters for the home and away fans.

It's nothing to do with supporters at all.

Rte have scheduling issues because they've contracted to show the rugby. Apparently Romania v Tonga is of greater importance to rte.

In terms of ad revenue and what they paid for the rights for the Rugger World Cup it is. If they reneged on showing the game it goes against them for future bidding then.

I'd rather they didn't show the football and had a normal Friday night kick off

Would you make the game on a Friday evening down in cork.  Surely it’s easier for you to make it on a Saturday afternoon.

The games are being shown at that time due to the rugby you are
Correct but surely it’s a better time for those attending the game esp The away fans.

Looks like Bohs are going to get not a lot of tickets for this one so most can watch at home . LOL

Yeah that's what we need in Football, making fixtures comfortable for armchair/barstool fans rather than the fans that go to games Confused

Been saying for years that the semis should be minimum 25% to away fans.

Aye, exactly! Plenty of time to get down, have lunch and a pint, same again after if ye want, or time to get kids back gone for bedtime.

Dundalk got 430 Tom for the quarters and i feel that Bohs will get the same but this is just me talking .
