How’s it harsh? Seems to be given a free ride for some reason. A foreign manager in this situation and he’s out the door by now.

Makes sense. Even if it’s too late to keep them up, he’s the guy you’d want in charge to bounce straight back up from the Championship.

Too late?? 18 games remaining and 2 points off safety. 1 win could push them up to 14th/15th

agree with that but he has to be backed by the board, who would appear to be Everton’s big problem.

Its amazing Dyche and managers like him are viewed as not 'sexy' enough to bring a club forward in the modern day yet when a big club is struggling they are the first type of managers they turn to when they are in trouble.

He got a 2 and a half year contract, just to pay him off if they stay up and keep him for a promotion tilt if they go down.

I think he's a very good appointment for Everton. Can see them staying up.

I wouldn’t think it’s short term with Dyche. He actually had some relative success with Burnley, which is not necessarily a fashionable club, or easy to sell to potential signings. If he can get Everton back on track he will have more to work with. Eddie Howe has done well at Newcastle, and I don’t think it’s just down to the money. How it’s been spent has been a part of that. Neither Howe nor Dyche jumped back into management at the sign of the first contract. From recall, Howe was in line for the Celtic job and it didn’t align. Moyes, to a lesser extent, but he didn’t just take any job available.

In reality this is different to the slate of British ‘salvage merchants’ who came in to save the club, and within months of the new season starting would be on the block as the cycle repeated. The likes of Sam, Pardew, Hodgson,Hughes, Pulis etc who seemed to all be linked via clubs that sustained an existence in the league.

Same

His style of play is not dissimilar to Moyes who’s the most successful Everton manager I remember

I don’t think Bielsa would work there
