Bournemouth and Fulham perhaps, but Brentford? I can actually see them improving on last season's 13th position by a place or two this time round - exceptionally well-run club, who've already had a good transfer window.

I was wondering who'd be first to point that out. Fact is, they were 14th when Eriksen played his first game for them February, never having been in the bottom three at any stage. And while he was outstanding in his 11 appearances, adding extra points they wouldn't otherwise have gained, nonetheless the points per game stats from their previous games suggest they'd still have survived without those points. And what is regualrly overlooked is that the damage caused by the loss of gk David Raya in mid-season arguably cost BFC as many points as those gained by Eriksen, to whit: First 9 PL games with Raya: 12 points = 1.33 ppg Next 14 games without Raya: 11 points = 0.79 ppg; Final 15 games with Raya = 23 points = 1.53 ppg. Now granted 11 of those last 15 games also included Eriksen, but the team's whole style of play is built around Raya and his ability with his feet, wherther building from the back or pinging long balls to midfield or attack. Meanwhile, if Josh Dasivla can recover completely from the career-threatening injury which kept him out virtually all of last season (big "if", admittedly), then he will surprise a few by just how good a deputy he can be in filling the Eriksen gap. Of course I'm not saying he's anywhere nearly as good as Eriksen, nor that he ever will be, but he undoubtedly has it in him to be a top PL creative midfielder, fitness-permitting. And if he does, I predict that BFC could even sneak into the top half (just).

Champions: Liverpool
Rest of top Four: Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal Relegated teams: Leeds, Bournemouth, Southampton Top scorer: Haaland Top assists: De Bruyne Players player of the year: Salah Young players player of the year: Haaland Manager of the year: Klopp...Cooper to run hom close First manager sacked: Hassenhuttl FA Cup Winner: City League cup winner: Chelsea Any other predictions: Fulham and Forest to surprise people and stay up comfortably. Saints struggle to recover from an awful start but Bazunu to be a rare bright spark. Liverpool and City have another Titanic struggle for the title but have a good few more dropped points than last year. United to start off well but tail away horribly near the end |

Thomas Frank has the most secure job in the PL*. And if by some disaster, they were to go down, he'd have the most secure job in the Championship. That's because they have the most secure, and therefore most stable, owner in either division. But they won't go down. * - OK, maybe after Klopp. Or Guardiola. ![]()
Very possibly - it all depends on whether Marsch is the manager they hope him to be. I personally have no firm opinion on that this early in his tenure, but he's certainly got a helluva job on his hands to cope without Phillips and Raphina. However I will say one thing, had Bielsa stayed even a month longer, they would have gone down last season, since he - and his team - had completely run out of energy and ideas and he was much too stiubborn to do anything about it.

Saints and Everton have starts where if they don’t pick up early points they’ll be in for a long hard season.
A poor start for Everton could see Frankie boy out the door which might be to Everton’s benefit. Leeds also if they don’t get early points will be in for a rough ride. Relegation: Saints, Fulham and Bournemouth. Most looking forward to Stevie G being found out as just an average manager. Man United are hard to gauge for top 4 - fancy them to win the europa league and Artetas Arsenal to blow top 4 and europa league as they’ve done under him previously. Liverpool to win the league.

Champions: M.City. Or Liverpool. Hell, I dont know which. Dead heat?
Rest of top Four: Spurs and Chelsea. Probably. Relegated teams: Everton. And in no particular order, any two from Fulham, Bournemouth, Leeds and Forest. Top scorer: Darwin Nunez? (If not, Harry Kane) Top assists: Heung Min Son? (Yes, I'm horribly biased) Players player of the year: No idea. De Bruyne? Young players player of the year: Even less iof an idea. Manager of the year: "Antonio, Antonio, Antonio..." First manager sacked: Bruno Lage? (Totally left-field guess) FA Cup Winner: Liverpool? League cup winner: Liverpool? (I know, boring, aren't I) Any other predictions: Everton to sack Fat Frank, but only after they've scraped together his redundo package. Which could take some time. Newcastle to struggle to make top half, putting Howe's job in question at seasons end. Oh and M.City finally to win the Champions League. The bastards.
