I don't get why he is being criticised for this decision. It's a yellow card offence, the decision he made was correct. Criticise the rule itself, not Dean. Or at least have a pop at him for not sending off Ake

Madley rightly awards Arsenal peno but WBA should have had one earlier.

In fairness they ended up with an open goal about 5 seconds later so there can't really be any complaints

The standard of refereeing is getting worse every year, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said after his side's 3-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Wenger felt City's Raheem Sterling dived for the penalty and the third goal was offside"I feel the referees don't work enough," Wenger said.

"The level drops every season at the moment and, overall, it's unacceptable."

Unlike AW to have a pop at refs.

I'm actually amazed this hasn't generated more discussion on here. Something like this didn't need to be said. Not only does it send a really poor message, really makes Clattenburg look like he overestimates his role and influence.

Exactly it doesn't do a lot for the reputation of EPL refs.

How a ref can go into a game with a game plan other than to ref the game completely unbiased and fairly at that level is insane

Because Mark Clattenburg only thinking about himself is not breaking news, it's unsurprising of a man who has tattoo's of himself.

Between him and Mike Dean have got to be the most dislikable attention seeking ****s in the history of English refereeing. Howard Webb had his steroetype of always favouring Sir Alex but it always stayed at joke level whereas these 2 actually take themselves serious.

I'm not to worried about referees taking themselves seriously. Undoubtedly the likes of Collina and Frisk did. I actually think this is going beyond taking themselves seriously.

Booked Herrera for a dive and let Jesus off with one! Great consistency.
