Surprised Leeds aren’t gone already
Don’t seem to have won a match in ages?

Haaland is the first player in 10 years to win the league and golden boot in the same season. The last player to do that was van Persie at United in 12/13.
Jimmy Bullard - "Favorite band? Elastic."

Prem league needs Liverpool back, they could have one it 3 times in the last 6 years but were inches and minutes away from winning both. Goes to show how good a job Klopp was doing against an oil state.
Del Boy: You do know what a pyscopath is dont you Grandad

Grandad: Of course i know what a Pyscopath is, its a fella who dresses up in womens clothes.

The final day's going to be pretty boring

League - done
Top 4 - done
Relegation - relying on Everton not beating Bournemouth at home and Leicester and Leeds winning

On a regular match day Bournemouth would have a big chance of winning at Goodison, but think Everton knowing what they have to do will get the win

Nothing ridiculous about it IMO. These are the details of his bets. He can have no complaints. Yet again social media was awash with experts who knew the case inside out apparently, saying it was a disgrace he got banned LOL

Of those 232 breaches:

  • 126 bets were in respect of matches in competitions in which Toney's club at that time participated in.
  • Of those 126, 29 were in respect of the club Toney was playing for at the time.
  • Of those 29, 16 were on his own team to win 15 different matches. Toney played in 11 of those matches.
  • Of those 29, the remaining 13 were on Toney's team to lose. Toney did not play in any of those matches.
  • Of the 126 bets, 15 were placed on Toney to score. They were initiated at a time when it was not public knowledge that he was starting or playing in the relevant fixtures.

So the majority (126) were just Premier League games that DIDN'T involve Brentford (he would have no impact on those games)

29 were of Brentford games
- 16 on his own team to win, so it wasn't like he was throwing the games, he was still incentivised to play his best for the team
- 13 he didn't play in and he bet to lose. This is very wrong, he had insider knowledge. Basically insider trading.
- 15 he bet on himself to score. You could argue this is against the best interests of his team, as he may have shot instead of passed. On the flip side, he's more incentivised to play well (score)

To be honest, it'd be worse if he bet against his team to win while playing.

The 13 bets relate to when he was a Newcastle player out on loan! He backed against them.

so it was a game he wasn’t expected to play in anyway then? Not sure what he knew more than the bookies then, or what he could influence.

Sounds like he broke the “no betting” rule but didn’t have any knowledge or influence in the result in any of them
