Points deduction?

Following a review of Derby County’s Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) submissions, the EFL has charged the Club for recording losses in excess of the permitted amounts provided for in EFL Regulations for the three-year period ending 30 June 2018.

The Club will now be referred to an independent Disciplinary Commission, which will hear representations from both the EFL and Derby County.

With their 5 1 win at Hull today could Brentford be a genuine contender for a top two finish?

Before today's results, this Predictor had them 2nd favourites to get promoted with a 68% chance, behind Leeds on 77%. They were 2nd favourites to finish as Champions at 25%.

Despite WBA's victory today, their odds have likely improved after today's games, seeing as Leeds, Leeds are falling apart, again....

I expect those odds must take into account that both WBA and Leeds have still to visit Griffin Park (though Bees are away to Fulham), also that of their remaining 16 games, 9 are at home.

It's interesting, too, that they held onto all their "big" players during the window, while adding 3 or 4 more to the squad. Seeing as their owner (a professional gambler) calculates their promotion chances game by game to a tenth of a percent, it is clear that he's going for it big time this season. (In previous seasons he held off in January, since his estimated promotion odds didn't justify extra investment.)

In particular, they will want to go up automatically, since their play-off record is appalling - no promotions in something like 8 or 9 goes Shocked.

They are on a good run. They have a new stadium opening next season so would be great for them if they got in.
That’s the beauty of the championship- Still very open who gets promoted and into the play-offs

The championship looks weak to me this season for some reason .
If you are going to win the championship you need to lose a max 6 games yet Leeds have lost 7 and are still within a very good chance of winning it which says it all .
Lansdowne Road debut aged 52 and 201 days .

That’s because they had a big lead built up on the third placed team. They were even as short as 1/40 for promotion a few weeks ago
That’s been whittled away now and they’re back to square one almost with no momentum at all. They need to halt the slide, and with the nerves getting to them possibly and confidence low, that won’t be easy

Are Bielsa's training methods best suited to a league as long and arduous as the championship?

They seemed to run out of legs in the second half of last season, and it looks like the same thing is happening this season.

It would be interesting to see him manage someone in the PL where it's less physical and there are fewer games.

It's not so much a case of running out of legs with Leeds, they're still dominating the play most every week possession in the high 70 % wise and chances 3 and 4 times the amount of the opposition ....a recent stat has them by far no1 for shot and chances created and down around the bottom 3 for shot accuracy and chances converted .......it's hard to pin point but a change in luck would help

another interested stat given Wigan the opposition yesterday, they have won 3 times away since Aug 18, twice at ER ....what on earth is this all about, makes no sense

Certainly is . Sean McLoughlin did okay for Hull despite the score line but one player who definitely looked a prospect was 20 yr. old Conor Gallagher , on loan to Swansea from Chelsea . If this lad is indeed eligible for Ireland we should cap him early like we did with Michael Obafemi in order to tie him down . Otherwise he could be playing in England's midfield with Rice and Grealish in the not too distant future .

Woodgate sacked at Middlesbrough Neil Warnock set to take over.

Warnock should keep them up.

Surprised he lasted this long. Take it Keane's gone too?

I presume so I thought at the time that Woodgate was a risky appointment.

Promotion in the bag now for Leeds.

I know it's easy for me to say but the way West Brom and the chasing pack  have been playing you've no worries.
