judging players by goal tallies Confused

I hate modern football - everything seems to be viewed through the prism of fantasy football rather than seeing what qualities they can bring to a side

What’s the major problem for Ireland for the past 6 games? Have you noticed any consistent theme in the matches?
Going back a bit but Malcom McDonald when playing for Newcastle , it was said that he did nothing but put the ball in the back of the net . That's all he did on the pitch was score goals he ripped my heart out in 1974 . Now he scored goals that was his job and he did it very well that was his job .
Every player has a job to go , so do it well and you win simple really when you think of it .
Lansdowne Road debut aged 52 and 201 days .
