A 3/4 match ban would actually do him some good for the season.
He played all last season, then the Confed Cup, then almost straight back into pre-season.
Busy year ahead with WC 2018 next summer.
Zidane hasn't been afraid to rest him as well.

Ronaldo given 5 match ban also given 3k fine (small change for him you'd imagine)

A statement released on Monday by the RFEF read: “On the first account,  Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo will be suspended for one game after receiving two yellow cards, the first for taking off his jersey while celebrating his goal and the second for simulation. The club have also been fined €350 and the player €800.

“On the second account, Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned for another four games for infraction of article 96 of the disciplinary code, with a €1,400 fine for the club and a €3,005 fine for the player.”

who cares about the fine. The punishment is harsh but fair, don't put your hands on the ref

prob but what does the ref get for some awful decisions? Robaldo should never have got a second yellow.

The ref should have dived after feeling the contact.

Real Madrid are miles ahead of Barca, far superior squad and I doubt adding Paulinho, Coutinho and Dembele would make much difference.

RM will stroll the league this season. think barca losing neymar is a big loss. messi hasn't carried the burden on his own in a while, and can't see suarez being much help when he just concentrates on conning every ref. their defence is woeful, their only saving grace over the last few years was how good the front 6 have been.

with all the young lads at RM, it's hard to see reasoning to keep bale. could easily cash in for 120m

RM will take some stopping in the CL again. They're a level ahead of the rest of Europe at present
