all joking aside the pPitch is actually due for an upgrade at the end of the season

but, you keep telling us that we are been hindered by our pitch and we would be better on grass, so why would you want us to have grass then?

maybe this is what you mean:

The Prize consists of 1 x football pitch redevelopment for the winning club. In the case of Shamrock Rovers, Dundalk FC, Limerick FC and Derry City FC the prize is transferable to cover a stadium redevelopment to the value of €5,000.

Why are they being treated differently to say Cork who rent their ground? Is this more anti-Cork bias?

Just don't think City need it so the worst pitches are probably Tallaght, Jackman, Oriel and Dayler. Jackman won't be around long and the SDCC can afford to fix Tallaght so its either Dayler or Oriel. Can vote for Bohs if you guys are too proud to take it Cry

Why are those clubs being treated differentl ? Is there not already been people moaning about the state of the pitch in Tallaght? And which ground will Limerick do up? What exactly would 5k do at Oriel?

(Even though it is a game of chance, I still participated).
Voting Schedules:
Football Club NamesOpening DateClosing Date
Sligo Rovers v Longford Town FCFriday 17th April @ 10amThursday 23rd @ 12midnight
Limerick FC v Derry City FCFriday 23th April @ 10am Thursday 30th @ 12midnight
Dundalk FC v Bohemian FCFriday 1st May @ 10am Thursday 7th @ 12midnight
Cork City FC v Drogheda United FC Friday 8th May @ 10amThursday 14th @ 12midnight
Shamrock Rovers FC v Bray Wanderers Friday 15th May @ 10amThursday 21st @ 12midnight
St Patricks Athletic v Galway United Friday 22nd May @ 10am Thursday 28th @ 12 midnight
Finalist Poll (6 x clubs)Friday 29th May @ 10amThursday 4th June

A few concerns,
a) It's not an open ballot from the start. So there is a more adversarial nature to the competition, pitting One PD club v. One PD club.
b) The Draw was not streamed live.  So there should be concerns about the Transparency of the outcome.
c) There is a default setting, so the percentage of errors in voting may weight towards one side.
d) There appears to be no restriction on Voting.  So Chads can vote for Pregnant or Hanging Chads, nobody can stop them.

Personally, It's venues that have least resources flowing to them.  But mindful of the resources necessary during installation and upkeep.
The Oriel Park vote would probably be total as the most expensive for EA Sports, but that doesn't guarantee best Value.  There's also the cost at the club for continued maintenance of pitch or re-training if returned to grass.

For me, Jackman Park (Priory Park) to come out a winner.  It would be a lovely gesture from Airtricity League online-Fans to leave Limerick Junior Soccer (LDSC and LDMC) with a legacy of the usage of the venue.
Don't like Dalymount Park and Oriel Park in the same tie, those pitches would benefit from been part of the open vote.

EA will only be paying €5,000 of the pitch/ground development, so there's no most expensive option.

Any investment into the league must be welcomed, I'd give the 5k to Dudnalk now on the condition it must go towards the away end

For EA Sports, they have limited their costs to 5 grand.  Clive Richardson Limited have been contracted by EA Sports.
But I'm not going to presume the costs for the recipient Club/Stadium.  But anticipating the club having to use resources in receiving the award is part of my consideration in voting.

5 grand wont get you much. I know the astroturf cricket wicket near me costs 8 grand and that is only about 25 X 3 Yards.

5k is 5K but it wont get ya feck all.

I was told before that it cost about 5k to just get samples and tests done on the sub soil in the Showgrounds. (they wanted to see if it was good enough quality for drainage to lay a new modern sand pitch on top - its perfect for it too I hear)
