So aye, miss all that. He's been open at the weekends here for takeaway ( ie, everybody bring a glass and have pints outside ) While its not the same, its great to see all the regulars again. There'd be older ones where the pub and the session on Sunday is a real lifeline for them - So was nice to see auld Vincent, an Octogenarian from Galway down knacker drinking outside the bar at the weekend Clap

That's a great idea. Havent heard anywhere doing that over here

Not sure its strictly within the rules or guidelines but working well enough.

Ye not sure on the rules over there but here don't think you are supposed to consume your drink within 100 yards of the pub/off license.

I've missed the pub a bit but not enough to be going before they are properly back open on the 20th of July. Even then I'm sure it'll be a much changed experience but will definitely try a few out at that point to see what it's like.

No one for drinking at home but still gave it a go and remembered I didn't like it, so the last drink I had was on March 27th.
Mainly go drinking to see friends and the environment. Haven't missed it too much but driving down Camden st on Saturday I saw that Flannerys was serving people on the street. It was sunny and sure they were in plastic cups but reminded me more of going to matches or gigs.
The dark side.. And the light

We've had places opened for a few weeks now. Unlike Ireland nearly all places server food. Have only drank outside where you get brought to your table or assigned a table number in a biergarten. You can take mask off when you sit down and fill in contact details of the group before you get served. Most places don't ask if you are just 2 households esp in biergartens. Biergartens didn't have table service.

Was actually inside a pub on Monday after collecting the son from work. He and his mum fancied a beer. You are shown to a table. She asked us how many households we 3 were . They had some tables with plastic screens down the middle for people on their own. You have to wear your mask once you leave the table. The pub closed at 10pm (will be extended to 11 next week I think)

The pool tables were in use (had to wear a mask & gloves). The jacks had only 2 slots opened from about 6 or 7. No change in bier prices.

Thought I would have missed it more tbh. The zoom sessions with the crowd from home a few times over lockdown were great craic and descended into fairly heavy sessions! My main times drinking are for football matches I attend and gigs which I miss and going to the pub and attending them is the full package that I would love back. I would rarely go to the pub for one or two, I'm usually all in or I'm not at all. Tbf hadn't been going for many random nights out before lockdown, usually just special occasions or gigs/football matches

I’d miss the few quiet pints sitting at the bar more than a session weirdly.

The Manhattan what was the station house??

Yeah, Station house then Cock n Bull and now back to the original name of the Manhattan.

I wouldn't mind but the Manhattan is more of a gastro pub so these new rules would suit this place.
