Unless you paid quite a lot for those flights, why get the refund? What's your alternative?

In case it helps anyone, I've just booked a flight back for the day after the game from Billund to Heathrow with British Airways for £31.

The last time we were in Aarhus there was an hourly bus between the two and took just over an hour. Its almost as close to Aarhus as Aarhus airport is.

2 of us paid 100 quid for those flights, in the mean time, 2 of the other lads got the time off work and want to go also. The 2 of us were gonna drive from Copenhagen and it was just over 3 hours to Aarhus. Now that the 2 of us have gotten 100 quid back from SAS, the 4 of us are now booked on a 40 euro return flight to Hamburg, and are gonna drive the 3.5 hours to Aarhus. Anything else you would like to know?? |

160 Kroner (just over €20). 8am bus gets in about 9:25 - may be a bit tight for the 10:40 flight, mind. The 7am bus makes a few more stops but still gets in at 8:35.

Nah, that’s my curiosity more than satisfied. I’d booked the same flights, but I just wouldn’t have imagined that alternative flights, or accommodation in Århus, would still be in any way reasonable. You’re an inspiration! So I’ve now got on Dublin-Gdansk-Aarhus, followed by Ålborg-Stansted-Belfast International for €71 in total. Less travelling time and saved on the cost of the train from Copenhagen. Cancelled the SAS flight, and I’m even €20 better off. Booked into that Sleep-In spot as well. Stayed there before, it’s spot on.

I'd say 99.9% are staying in Äarhus.

Hamburg trains on sale now, bahn.com. That's for any day up to the day after the match.
