All rubbish though I suspect that Man Utd away one will become a cult classic in 20 years time. "Third kits" and "fourth kits" are a bloody rip off. Greenock Morton 1993-95 home and away jerseys are what every club should aim for

Their current shirt is very smart. I was looking at it the other day. Cappielow is a ground I must visit.

Aye. Sweet isn't it ?
It is indeed a great wee ground that still has a bit of the 70s/80s rustic harm to it. A Morton vs. St Mirren game (the Renfrewshire derby) is definitely one to take in. My Dad went to a few Renfrewshire derbies (it was cheaper and quicker getting there than going to Ibrox) during the 70s, albeit at (old) Love Street. Glass bottles, lumps of concrete and the occasional razor blade flew everywhere. The police just stood back and watched yawning, until one of their own got hit ....

How many truly iconic football shirts, that were also beautifully designed, were ridiculed at the time?

'90s goalkeeper shirts deserve ridicule and certainly weren't beautifully designed. Netherlands '88 is a fair shout. I would add England '82. Liking it and wanted to collect it aren't the same. Many iconic shirts are iconic for being bad!

For some reason for the 5 weeks in Italy 🇮🇹 I wore the Packie Bonner yellow jersey. I think the only time it got washed was in the sea in Cefalu :)
Great Jersey
