He's named (like many others) by Mick so that players know he hasn't forgotten about them. You could name 23 and tell them in private, but this is more about a public show of confidence. He won't make final 23 anyway.

but he can't get a game for league 1 coventry... point is he should be forgotten about and start thinking outside the box and pick a midfielder who is actually playing at a decent level or has potential to improve, meyler has neither

Mad to think Reading signed him on a 2 year deal with an option of a third last summer!

Can see him back in the LOI after his contract ends in 2020.

It would have made more sense to have included Josh Cullen.

I the retired about three years ago, he just announced it today.
Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.

Never let us down any time he put on the green Jersey, most memorable performance was his display in Gelsenkirchen.

Massive contributions to historic away wins in Vienna and Wales (when captain) also. Had he been played CM home to Denmark, and then kept on at half time, that night could have been very different.

Thanks for all your hard work David.
