Ah here. This kind of stuff is why I no longer reply to this guy. If a foreign born lad with Irish links is training with an English Youth team/lower league/European/MLS team "cap him immediately" Suggest someone like Sean McGuire should get called into an Ireland squad for a friendly, its the most ridiculous thing anyone could ever say!

Where did I say "cap him immediately"??? Stop stirring sh*te and get over your petty grudge. And seeing as you'd like to see MAGUIRE capped, you might want to learn how to spell his name first, he ain't Lizzie's brother... Edited by The O'Shea - 05 Apr 2017 at 10:21pm |

Everything is form, you can be in good form, average form, poor form, etc. A combined total of 3 goals/assists in 10 games would suggest he's not doing badly. |

Anybody else just google Lizzie McGuire?
Go Ahead Eagles is one of the truly iconic names in football, founded as 'Be Quick Devanter', if I remember correctly. A favourite of mine on FM games due to the name What I meant was it suggests little of form. He could have been absolutely terrible in all those games, judging by the teams results it would be easy to suggest that that is the case! If it is a striker scoring a goal every other game or a goalkeeper or central defender who is part of a defence that is conceding very few it is probably easier to judge solely on such basic statistics.

Me. Your man must spend his days watching children's television and scouring football manager for lads with Irish sounding names.

Hmm, I think the insinuation was that you've been watching too much of it, hence the Americanised spelling of a common Irish name |

Without dragging the thread off topic, I would have thought both spellings of the name were common in Ireland? I certainly knew a few McGuires , as well as Maguires, back home and that one or the other is the dominant anglicisation in certain areas, sure wasn't Dougal's surname 'McGuire'!?
Not that I am absolving Bitored's faux pas here, just find it strange that one is being considered 'American'.

Agreed. The Dutch league isn't even worth talking about anymore unless you are playing for Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV. Go Ahead Eagles wouldn't beat anyone from the League of Ireland Premier Division. Edited by grannyrule - 06 Apr 2017 at 1:21am |

They got beaten 4-1 but this was a great goal, I think it was a fortnight ago but only seeing it now.

Dan has just signed for Willem II on a permanent deal.
I suppose now is the time Martin should see where his head is at international football wise.

Wow - that's a surprise. Rob Brennan on Twitter has always insisted that he'll end up in green. I hope this is a move in the right direction

He hasn't the slightest chance of making it into an England squad. They have finally started to get the underage conveyor belt working.

How many players have simply decided not to play international football despite having dual nationality? You also fail to realize that numerous English underage internationals have played in Holland over the last couple of years, so who's to say if he doesn't have a great season that he couldn't make it into an English under 21 squad? Granted it is a big ask but he is highly regarded and has backed himself by stepping up to play in the Eredivise, even though Willem II are an unfashionable club stranger things have happened! For what it's worth I'd like to think he will play with us, but who knows!

Looking at this lad, Clifford, and even jack Byrne, it just shows you the gap there is to make it as a professional. All 3 Johnny big bollixes too.
