I would like to see where that “fact” of 70 suicides in the west of Ireland is sourced from.  

Why the west of Ireland and not just Ireland and what counties constitute the west.  It’s a bizarre presentation of a stat that it would lend me to not believe it.  Tragically it would also have to be compared with data over the last 5 years for context.

There are plenty of people in this country that believe it’s time to open up, and I’m not talking about the anti-mask protestors and Gemma supporters. The Government have made a mess of managing Covid - they turned their backs on the people that needed to be protected most. The elderly in nursing homes were left to die while private hospitals were being paid for but left empty. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that FF and FG would show such a level of incompetence and then double down on their position. These are the political parties that allowed the Catholic Church and its institutions the platform to rape and pillage for years. A sizeable majority of Irish people went along with that, as its apparently easier to believe what you’re being told by “those in the know” and a complicit media.

I and many others believe it’s time to open up and live with this virus. You mightn’t like that Frankie, but that’s my opinion and it holds as much validity as your’s.

No, john. Your opinion does not hold up, because the people who are experts in these fields, ie those in medicine and experts in public health, say otherwise. 

Numbers in hospital climbing. Numbers in ICU climbing. Deaths starting to climb again. It's not time to "live with the virus", because that means more and more of our fellow Irish men and women dying alone without being able to say goodbye to their loved ones. It's something I am terrified of seeing happen to my own family or friends. So forgive me if I don't respect your nonsense opinion.

Babbs what hospitals do your friends work in???? 
My wife works in the Mater as a haemovigilance specialist & theyre flat out, Covid only wards are back open again & last week they had 3 normal wards closed due to outbreaks there. 

I’ve a cousin pathology in Beaumont and it’s much the same there. 

Lads can be against this new lockdown & that’s fine. Ya be against this government & that’s fine too but stop talking absolute pony based on hearsay & rumors because it’s dangerous. 

The next few weeks we’re gonna see rises in deaths sadly, the anti mask bellends will be quiet then until we get a better handle on things then they’ll be out in force again

What the f**k has this got to do with the Catholic Church and paedos?   I've noticed a lot of these anti mask dopes were holding up placards about paedophilia at the rallies.  What kind of fooking gobsh*tes are they?

Physically no, but it does run in clusters. We had a lad commit suicide in school, and there was loads of talks about it. Up to that point suicide was something I read about in newspapers or on TV, once I saw it happen to someone I knew, it definitely enters your head as something that "people like us" do. There's lots of cases where someone commits suicide and it starts a "cluster" of them of people that know them

If only the government had enforced a full lockdown for 2/3 weeks six months ago with foreign travel banned and this would have been eradicated.
It's hard to see how people can be convinced to abide by local travel restrictions when I saw a convoy of UK campervans getting off at Liffey Valley yesterday.

Would agree that closing the airports and stopping all travel in and out of the country would have definitely helped, the Border issue would probably have negated it

Almost certainly. Paedophilia is a great thing for them to be against as there aren't too many in favour of it and makes it very easy to shout over people who are against them as being in favour of it. Qanon is really taking off to a worrying degree.
