This is typical of someone who forms his opinions from watching on TV. But while TV is "better" than Live attendance in a few respects - notably replays and individual incidents - it is much inferior in giving the overall picture of a game, basically because the camera really only follows the ball. This means that you don't get any idea of eg what's happening off the ball, what formations teams are playing; whether a team is playing 10 yards deeper/futher forward than they should; whether runs are being covered; whether a player(s) is struggling and need replaced; and more genrally, the "mood" of the game, both with the players and the crowd. Which is also one reason why eg, the bare stats of a game (shots, corners, tackles etc) can be so misleading. But even after saying all that, even the brief highlights from Sky showed which was the more influential: Nketiah's two involvements were a weak shot (26 seconds) and a weak header (1 min 35 secs). While Kane's three involvements were 2 shots (2 mins 22 secs and 2 mins 35 secs) and an assist (2 mins 55 secs), all of which were top quality and all of which forced Ramsdale into top quality saves. As for this garbage that he cant be that good because he doesnt win anything, the fact that he can contribute such outstanding figures, assists as well as goals, season-in season-out in an average team, is a testament to his quality, commitment and temperament etc, not an excuse to belittle him. Unless you're an idiot. |

all true but I think there’s a bit of mind games from pep in the interview aswell....also confirms to me that he’ll be gone from city after this season.

If he wins the CL then possibly will walk Personally I don't think they're any closer this season to winning it than they have been any other season, and they've always found a way to get knocked out. However if you're there or thereabouts every season, with a bit of luck you'd think they'll get their eventually
