Went off injured tonight. Has apparently been struggling badly recently in a defensive midfield role, rather than the centre-back role he began the season at.
We're decent enough..

Played for Leeds under 23s last night in what was his first game since injury in January.

Biesla was in attendance and is supposedly an admirer. 

Conor is expected to be in the 18 man squad for Leeds league cup game vs Bolton this evening. 

He has been moved from central defense to centre defensive midfield recently, and according to Leeds fans has looked very good in that posistion, which is of course quite an important role in a Biesla team. 

Hopefully he can develop the technical side of his game under such an acclaimed manager.

I believe this is known as the EUNAN O'KANE role, even though Eunan was not considered good enough to fulfill it !

I didn’t know the role even existed until a certain poster on here made us all aware. 

Wasn’t there a special Spanish term for holding midfielder? It was normally capitalised.

Shaughnessy wasn't exactly getting rave reviews when he played as a holding midfielder last year, so it'll be interesting to see how he does this time round if that is where Bielsa plays him. 

O'Kane was never going to be physically imposing enough to be Bielsa's "trequartista"; albeit it is somewhat amusing that Javier's ramblings have actually come to fruition (and promptly backfired in such comical fashion).

Big chance for him to impress Biesla.

Paddy Bamford also starts. While Browne and Burke are on the bench for PNE. No Robinson.
