Why doesn't Conor just go into a game with the conscious intention of NOT being anonymous? Sauntering around. Get involved for fook sake. It's rage inducing especially knowing that he's more than likely going to start for us in a couple of weeks and act the same bollox too.

Does it even matter any more. Kenny deserves to be canonised if he gets out of Serbia with even a draw.

ffs LOL

You have to laugh at this stage at the insane amount of injuries under Kenny even without taking the covid absences into it.
That's how you fight loneliness,
You laugh at every joke,
Drag your blanket blindly,
Fill your heart with smoke,

Maybe he still playing but he can be so invisible in games people think he's gone off.

Can someone double check?

Can't see anything on twitter about him picking up an injury, although reading through some comments it sounds like Swansea fans are fairly in two camps about him. Some thinking he is a great player while others say he goes missing far too much.

Luton vs Swansea today with hourihane and manning starting which is good to see.

Collins on the bench for Luton which is becoming a regular occurrence but I think still remains our top scorer.

Good goal by Hourihane and a cracking ball by Manning in the lead up to it.

Hourihabe playing in an advanced role in behind the forward. If he plays for ireland I hope.its in that position and not a number 6.

It's obvious that he's only of use playing in an advanced position. Need to utilise his goalscoring abilities cause he's not much use elsewhere.

If your going to play him play him at 10 with Cullen Knight 2 workhorses in behind him. He needs to be up high as in supporting the striker though.

Manning played a lovely ball too. He’s in a battle with Bidwell who has been as good a left back as there is in the Championship this year.

He’s been unlucky he’d be starting for most other teams in the Championship.

Manning’s pass was sublime. His versatility might be a bonus with all the injuries in the squad.
One City,One County,One Club GUFC will be back.

the problem with the number 10 position for Ireland is Stephen Kenny wants a high-energy number 10 who will press. You're not going to get this from Hourihane.

Maybe Kenny will just have to accept that he's going to be "that" luxury player in the number 10 role. if the trade-off is that he's getting into similar positions as he is for Swansea and getting goals well then happy days.

as said before when Hourihane isn't scoring goals he's not really doing much else. Kenny needs to try and unlock whatever code it is in order to accommodate Conor. whatever it is it's definitely going to involve the two midfielders behind being high-energy and zero tolerance for anybody going missing during games.

playing Hourihane as a luxury 10 against teams like Luxembourg who have a nice squad and are developing but still we should be dominating isn’t something that we really should be worried about even with a lack of workrate.

I found Hourihane for Villa was a huge asset against bottom half teams who Villa generally hunted for possession more then. His set piece ability etc and eye for goal was an asset they wouldn’t have stayed up without it.

Against the big 6/7 teams who dominated the ball Hourihane was a liability for Villa didn’t have the legs.

You might get away with this against Serbia if you played him further forward supporting the striker with 2 workhorses like Knight and Cullen.
