Proved me wrong with that performance last night, topped off with a brilliant goal. His set-piece delivery is far superior to Brady. Gary Breen made a good point on OTB that after a few good deliveries against Gibraltar, he stood aside when Brady came on, and Breen was looking for him to demand that he take them. After Brady's woeful attempt into the wall, it seems to be what he did.

He'll face better opposition against Denmark and the Swiss but hopefully he can keep up the good performances. He still seems to lack a bit of pace, which would be a concern, especially with him and Whelan as the midfield 2.

Agreed - he was excellent throughout, always shouting for the ball, moving into space, passing forward, set pieces... A relief to have someone with those skills for this campaign.

Thought he did well and got a cracking goal. Far better set piece deliveries than Brady so leave him on them

Thought he was brilliant. He's been doing well for Villa but this is the first time he's played well for us. Cant read too much into the other appearances tho as most were in friendlies and against gibraltar. He deserves to hold his place in the team for the next game surely.

Terrible defending, but what a brilliant strike! Absolutely perfect.

I get your point, but if he was Irish there would be lads w**king over the 'assist'.

Ah, beautiful ball, outside of the boot, cutting through the air of a spring day. Schools out for summer.
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"
