Apparently the other goal was also from his set play.

The inevitable calls for him to be called up to England u19 squad have already started. Kinger better get him into the next u21 squad

English born and already represented England at u17.  Hmm.  Would be nice to keep a hold of him, I've been impressed by him the few times I've seen him play.

There's a video on twitter of De Bruyne offering him his jersey in the tunnel after the match on Tuesday night, Ronan takes the jersey a little stunned, De Bruyne has his hand out and Ronan goes to shake it, split second later he realises De Bruyne actually wants his jersey in return, the thought clearly didnt occur to him and he looks a bit stunned for a second.

He had come on in the 72nd minute and did well apparently. Anyone watch that match?

There is a massive shortage of football coaches at underage level right across every league in the country, this isn't all down to the FAI either.

Too many people give out about this and that at grassroots level, yet do nothing to help solve the problem. More coaches = better players

So it's not surprising we continue to scan across England looking for players with dual eligibility.

As if it matters where a guy is born. The vast majority of our players are trained up through British academies regardless of whether they are born in Ireland or not. Ronan has been playing for us since U-17 level anyway, so he arguably has more of a claim to being trained up through the FAI structure than some of the Irish-born players in our squad...
We're decent enough..

Exactly,

I see no reason why we should ever not be active in scouting young players who are fully entitled to represent Ireland.

Also, it's the not the Connor Ronan's of this world who I'd be wondering what he truly feels about representing Ireland, its the English born 26/27/28 year old's who only decide to declare for us when they know they have f**k all chance of playing with England.

A good friend knows his family and apparently when he met with the English squad the only talk was if cars and money while with the Irish lads it was the pride of playing for their country.

He fits in with us and is fully committed, has no interest in England.
I know nothing :-)
