Yeah it's a decent spot. Massive queues at the moment but that's to be expected I suppose. There was a nice spot in Clontarf called Ebb and Flow that used to get a lot of the business but it hasn't reopened since lockdown.

And won’t be. At least not under current owners. That Lotts and Co is a loada sh*te. Worst layout for a shop ever.

Agree with Lotts. There's a decent new spot opened up the road by the SuperValu in Killester actually, about 50m up Collins Ave on the left.

Yeah the Orange Goat. Unless you’re coming down Collins Avenue you wouldn’t know it was there.
No idea what story was with E&F.

"Covfefe." A word used by Trump in one of his Twitter meltdowns that many thought was an attempt by a semi-literate to refer to coffee. Apparently not....what he meant was "coverage."

I don't think many thought that tbh especially if you read the preceding words "despite the constant negative press........" coverage was the obvious word he was looking for. Coffee wouldn't make sense. Is he even semi-literate?

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

I don't think he's ever read a book in his life. Anyone that keeps using the same 5 or 6 words over and over again to describe something or an event must have the same vocabulary as a 5 year old. Even GW Bush was nowhere near as inarticulate as Trump. He would mispronounce words and make gaffes.

His interview about the bible was hilarious. Said he was a big fan of the bible but couldn't say what his favourite verse was. A bit like Alan Partridge "best of the beatles" comment.

The bible was his favourite book and his own book the art of the deal was his second favourite. He said how it was personal to him and he didn't want to go into it which was a clever way of getting out of that favourite verse question. He also referred to second Corinthians as "2 Corinthians" in front of a religious college audience and they all burst out laughing.

Bumped into a friend of mine in town yesterday who was sitting outside a Starbucks. I ended up joining him so ordered a cappucciono. 4.50 for a small cup. Brutal coffee. Like something from a cheap Tassimo machine What is people's fascination with this place?? Edited by Trap junior - 14 Dec 2023 at 6:05pm |
