Great win for Cliftonville over the Glens yesterday, two smashing goals from young Sean Moore. Entertaining craic from guest speaker Roddy Collins at the pre-match supporters’ lunch , scathing as ever about Delaney and the FAI sharks he stood up to when they had the power to hurt him and did. He has a book out that should be worth a read. Minute’s applause before the game for the late Henry McDonald. Meanwhile over at Windsor, that clown Kyle Lafferty has already fallen out with the Linfield management, has been dropped, fined, had a massive signing on fee frozen and could be shown the door. The gift that keeps on giving.

Roddy’s book is probably 70% made up but an entertaining read.

Reds were excellent on Saturday. Fair play to Moore, he was kicked a few times but it didn't faze him. Nearly had a hat-trick but for last ditch tackle. Had to weather 20 minute storm in second half. McGinn still fast despite his age. But Coates showed our oul man still has it too, thought he was excellent.

Moore looks about 14! Loved him celebrating in front of the Glentoran fans! Terri will be outraged.

An outsider's view of the North Belfast Derby ("more enjoyable than the Madrid Derby", or so he says!).
Twenty minutes long, but well worth a cup of tea and a sitdown imo:

Btw this guy has done a few videos of Irish football, North and South, as well as worldwide - generally very watchable stuff (if you're happy to write off the rest of your afternoon Wink)

I liked your man's video where he went to all the Dublin grounds in one day, dumped into Brian Kerr outside Richmond Park and Kerr had a bit of a chat with him. Yer man didn't seem to know who Kerr was.

He's does more history stuff than just match day which I like. But I do skip all the parts when he asks everyone he can find for a score prediction.

Sean Moore selected for Ireland U19s for Euro qualifiers. Hearing he turned down meeting with O'Neill. Good lad.

On the cards for the past few weeks apparently - hence the teams downturn in form

Very unfortunate for the club. He has been the best manager since Tommy Breslin. No idea what has been going on behind the scenes but getting someone else in of that quality will be difficult.

Wheels have come off in last couple of weeks, but still sad to see him go. He took us so close last year. Saying that, some of the names being bandied about to replace him, like Shiels and Son, er, no thanks.

A job closer to home
A better league
Paid more
More job prospects with all the Higgins extended contacts at FAI

Taken the reds as far as he could maybe?
A dramatic budget change in that top 6

Barry Johnston an early contender to replace him.

Johnston was a great player for the Reds but untested as a manager at the top level. He’s in charge at Lisburn Distillery at the moment, several leagues down. David Jeffrey was mentioned somewhere, he’d be an interesting appointment if it happened. He was a guest speaker at one of the supporters’ match day lunches recently, as was Roddy Collins.

Heard Jeffrey being mentioned. I wouldn't have problem with him. Hard to say who's in frame, tbh.
