I look at it differently. Stevens was done for the goal, you can go back and look at other key areas but it was his fault. Same as the goal Thursday, that was Duffy's fault despite there being errors in the build up. And while Arter may not be McCarthy he had a better game against better opposition. Towards the end when we were chasing he demanded and carried the ball and looked like he was driving the team on. From the 6 that played midfield over 2 games he was our best player. So you cannot give other lads a hall pass, judge them on their performance for 90 mins.

What I got from the 2 games is this. Lads aren't fit. Jury is out whether our 3 best players are suited to a back four. Egan, Doherty & Stevens.

Good to see him back, he seems like a good manager and has a good amount of experience.

Lot of work to do.
Lamouchi had to go, things had totally unravelled since lockdown.

Has great potential to work out well and get forest back up with the money they have. But then they are trigger happy on managers.

My prediction, they get up via play off this season or automatic next year.
Hughton keeps them safe the next year.
Gets sacked for not being higher up the table the next season
Forest get relegated that same season

Hopefully he does well and can get them up. Could be a lifeline for Shane Duffy, who was Brighton's player of the season in Hughton's last year with them - if Hughton gets them promoted it might be a route for Duffy to get back playing football at a decent level again next season.

Good stuff. I shall have to keep an eye on their results this year. Is Reid still involved with the Scotland set up?

Regarding the last point, aye it looks like he'll do both jobs. A few of our players have said they like having Reid around the squad and enjoy training with him.
