He talked a good game, and was honest enough and not bitter at the end, so fair play to him in that sense.

He has done very well with the resources he has there.

I met him in Cardiff last year and he was a gentleman. He said he expected Ireland to do well.

Bale on the other hand was a c**t.
He will be 32 at the next world cup so has one more opportunity but I feel this was his big chance to play at a world cup.

Shows what a fantastic job Coleman has done when you consider their home crowds were 8,000 when he took over.

The late Gary Speed did a lot of the groundwork, arguably even John Toshack before him.

Which is not to say Coleman is a bad manager, but if you look closer at his club management record previously, it's decidedly mixed:

Fulham - good start, eventually fizzled away, sacked;
Sociedad - decent start, but resigned after 6 months (clash with new Owner);
Coventry - took over a team stuggling near the foot of the Championship in February 2008, just escaped relegation in 21st place on the last day of the season. Finished 17th the following season. Was sacked the season after that, when they finished 19th;
AEL (Greece) - appointed May 2011, walked away January 2012, citing financial difficulties at the club.

I'm not too bothered if he stays in post with Wales, since whilst they already have some very good players, with other prospects coming through, I can't help wondering whether he hadn't "shot his bolt" by Euro2016.

Could be very wrong, of course.

I think he is right man at right time. A very strong generation of players and good groundwork was done by Speed. Not saying he is clueless but he did fall into the job at a very good time and has slightly given a false impression of his ability. Hes a Championship manager

Looks like we'll be changing the thread title and changing his surname to a D to Doleman cos he'll be signing the dole by Spring.

Chris Coleman talking about Liam Miller

“John O’Shea and Aiden McGeady knew Liam very, very well and John came up in the same young team in Ireland.
John and Aiden were fantastic. They got through it and that’s what they have to do.”
“He was an excellent player. I didn’t know him that well but from what John said he was an even better person so it’s a sad loss.
"Our boys (fans) singing Liam’s name at Bristol was really moving."
